Smart Conform
- Advanced fuzzy matching engine can accommodate any conform workflow, support for:
- RED R3D® from AAF and transcoded Avid MXF Op-Atom
- ArriRAW, DPX, EXR from AAF and transcoded Avid MXF Op-Atom: All frames of the original transcoded clip will be restored, not just the frames used in a timeline/sequence; specific frame restore capability will be available in a future release
- MOVs, (e.g., GoPro®, Canon® 5D/7D, ProRes, Blackmagic), from AAF and transcoded Avid MXF Op-Atom
- P2 from AAF and transcoded Avid MXF Op-Atom: Spanned clips are also supported
- Sony® XDCAM from AAF and transcoded Avid MXF Op-Atom: Spanned clips are also supported
- XDCAM EX from AAF and transcoded Avid MXF Op-Atom: Spanned clips are also supported

Improved Archiving and Restore Workflows
- AAF archiving and restore: Supports Avid sequence archiving and restore
- XML archiving and restore: Supports Final Cut Pro 7, Adobe bin, sequence, project archiving and restore
- Automatic Duck HTML archiving and restore: Adds support for full Avid project archiving and restore

Web-based Tagging
- Easily create a tagging template in Microsoft® Excel for use within DNA Evolution archives; tagging templates are then imported into an archive by an admin
- Templates can include the following:

Pre-defined value fields that cannot be changed by the user, protecting against spelling mistakes and providing consistent data input across multiple users
- single value fields
- multiple choice value fields
- Free text fields provide the flexibility to add any additional text

- Admins can add, update, and change field definitions on-demand with no restrictions
- Any field can be marked as optional or mandatory: If mandatory fields are not filled in, the tagging and archiving user cannot run the archive

Tape Online/Offline
- End users with autoloaders can visually identify if a tape is in the autoloader for archive and restore jobs making it easy to see if a job is ready to be started
- This is not supported for standalone drives as there is no barcode reader

- Search across archives for files, clips, and other metadata fields

- Provides a list of all jobs and archives

Advanced Tape Tools
- Batch format: Allows for multiple tapes to be formatted simultaneously
- Batch verify: Allows for multiple tapes to be verified simultaneously
- Batch duplication: Allows for multiple tapes to be duplicated simultaneously

Administrator Tools
- Admin upgrader can run future DNA Evolution version upgrades without customer support involvement
- Mac® and Linux® hardware checker: Ensures LTO hardware is connected (NOTE: Supported only for StorageDNA LTO hardware)
- Mac and Linux Archive Manager shutdown script: Ensures all services are shutdown cleanly and all LTO tapes are un-mounted before shutdown ensuring a clean system
- Mac and Linux software version display: Shows the current version of all software running
- Mac and Linux Log Enable, Disable, Collect: Allows for logs to be enabled and collected by end users for analysis by StorageDNA technical personnel
- On-demand Backup: Allows an admin to run a backup of the catalogs on-demand in addition to the regularly scheduled backups; useful if the admin wants to ensure consistency
- On-demand Preview Indexing: Allows an admin to index the previews on-demand in addition to the regularly scheduled indexing

CatDV Support
- CatDV reverse workflow: DNA Evolution interface drives the archive and then reports the status into CatDV, avoiding the CatDV worker, for faster archiving
- Note: Restore jobs will still run from the CatDV interface

Avid® Interplay® Support
- Added support for Avid Interplay database browse
- Added support for multi-folder archiving and restore
- Automated mapping for directories on ISIS® Mac client

Additional Fixes
- Support for large restores over 100,000 files
- Clear out of existing file entries in the database if a tape is re-formatted
- Fix of logging issue during ticket conversion: alleviates the diagnosis of why tickets do not convert during a regular restore or conform
- Support for restoring empty folders: This supports workflows, such as XDCAM, that may have empty folders in some cases
