Enhanced toolset for managing archived content
Tightly integrated mini-MAM offers the basics of search, tagging, previews, and sharing
- HTML-5 player: Modern web player for universal proxy playback of archived content (replaces previous QuickTime player)
- New clip note panel: Provides ability to add time-based notes to individual clips for search and user collaboration, such as review and approval
- New URL sharing: Ability to share clips and notes among users via simple browser-based links, providing direct access to items within DNA Evolution
- Improved custom metadata tagging: New metadata template creation tool for unlimited custom templates and key/value pairs for adding metadata to archived content
- New batch metadata tagging: Ability to add metadata to multiple clips after they have been archived
- New archive groups: Archives in common can now be placed into a higher level folder for improved organization
Tape Tools
All new browser-based toolset that provides comprehensive tape health and management features
- Ability to perform and monitor tape operations, (bulk tape format, verification and duplication), directly from DNA Evolution’s browser-based UI
Proxy Creation
Proxy file creation for viewing in DNA Evolution’s HTML-5 Player
- Simpler setup for third-party transcoders: UI-based preview configuration tool enables fast setup with third-party transcoders, such as, Episode Pro
Search
Enterprise-class content search capabilities
- Auto-indexing of all user added metadata: Auto indexing of annotations and user metadata enables easy location of clips via any user-added metadata
Advanced Reports
New reports toolset includes reports to track jobs, tapes, and content
- Manual and/or automated nightly reports: Ability to create reports across archives, tapes, and jobs with email alerts
- Tapes, jobs, archive reports: Create reports across tapes duplicated, verified, job runs, and archive listings
- Easy spreadsheet import: Tape reports are in simple tab separated format, enabling easy importing into spreadsheets, such as Microsoft® Excel®
Universal Character Support
- UTF kanji Support: Ability to accept kanji UTF-8 characters
