The Search Files tab allows you to search across filenames and operating system attributes. You can perform full and partial text search with wildcards across file names, path, and tape names.
The search shown: "00*.mxf" tells DNA Evolution to search for all files that begin with “00” but end with “.mxf” in the archive.
You can use a forward slash “/”, then “return” to “show all” files in a given archive.
NOTE: As of V3.0, the default view for the Search Files tab is 100 items per page, which could be deceiving when trying to reverse sort a very long list of files. The value can be adjusted in the lower right hand corner to display more items per page.
Once a file or directory has been found, you can click the “Go to directory” button to have the system bring you to the containing directory. This is useful to determine exact location of the file within the archive.
